Knowledge / Experience / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance
- Experience desired in Dynamics or other ERP
- Excellent understanding of governmental guidelines and tax laws that affect the company
- High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Experience with manufacturing preferred
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for manufacturing operations
- Monitor and reconcile production costs, inventory levels, and variances
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
- Conduct cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency
- Analyze manufacturing overhead and allocate costs appropriately
- Assist in developing annual manufacturing budgets and forecasts
- Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation
- Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory records
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes with manufacturing operations
- Compile and reconcile information for other departments
- Perform other duties as needed
